I want to learn to scuba dive, what now? What class do I take first?

No worries, mate, we got ya covered!

Fair dinkum (true) mate, this can get confusing, so let’s make it easy for ya. The first class you need to take to get certified is the Open Water Scuba Diver course. This starts you out with the basics, and you move up from there. NAUI offers everything you need to be the diver you dream of being. Recreational courses are the beginning, and while you're doing that, ya add in some Specialty courses here and there to make things more interesting.

Let’s put the recreational courses in order for ya: Open Water Scuba Diver; Advanced Open Water; Rescue Diver ; Master Diver.

Rescue diver requires current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR) and Emergency O2 provider. For those wanting to move on to Divemaster, you take the Diving First Aid (DFA) course.

Specialty Courses: Nitrox (our favorite), Full Face Mask, and Drysuit. Just to name a few of the most popular ones, because there are many more.

Leadership Courses: Divemaster, Instructor, Instructor Trainer, and the Course Director (for those blokes that are dead set serious about scuba)

Thinking of switching from another dive agency to NAUI? We offer smooth and straightforward crossover courses. Fun, informative, educational.
